Entré dans la Chambre de musique, le visiteur écoute dans la pénombre El grillo, chanson à quatre voix de Josquin Desprez (1450-1521). Pendant le même temps, il découvre sur un écran mural des images de grillons de toutes époques, qui se succèdent au rythme de la musique.

En sortant du Cubiculum musicae, le visiteur peut prolonger l’expérience et l’approfondir au moyen d’une application web. Il est possible d’explorer l’œuvre musicale El grillo de façon interactive, d’approfondir la biographie et l’œuvre du compositeur et de découvrir des aspects insolites de la vie des grillons et de leurs rapports avec l’homme.

L’application contient notamment :

l’enregistrement de l’œuvre par la Capilla Flamenca,
la partition en notation moderne (un curseur permet de suivre la partition en écoutant l’œuvre),
le texte de la frottole et sa traduction,
des commentaires historiques et musicaux,
l’explication des termes techniques au moyen de pop-ups,
des informations et des illustrations sur la vie des grillons.

Upon entering into the Chamber of Music, the visitor can listen in the half-light to El grillo, a song for four voices by Josquin Desprez (1450-1521). Upon leaving the Cubiculum musicae, the visitor can prolong and deepen the experience by means of a web application. It becomes possible to explore the musical work El grillo in an interactive way, to deepen the knowledge of the life and work of the composer and to discover unusual aspects of the life of crickets and their relationship with Mankind.

The web application contains in particular:

the recording of the work by the Capilla Flamenca,
the partition in modern notation (a cursor allows you to follow the partition while listening to the work),
the text of the “frottola” (song) and its translation,
historical and musical comments,
the explanation of technical terms by means of pop-ups.

Als de bezoeker in de Muziekkamer is binnengekomen, luistert hij in de schemering naar El grillo, een lied voor vier stemmen van Josquin Desprez (1450-1521). Tegelijkertijd ontdekt hij op een muurscherm de beelden van de krekels uit allerlei tijdperken, die elkaar op het ritme van de muziek opvolgen.

Als de bezoeker het Cubiculum verlaat, kan hij via een webapplicatie het experiment voortzetten en verdiepen. Het is mogelijk op interactieve wijze het muziekstuk El grillo te beluisteren, de kennis van de biografie en het werk van de componist Josquin te verdiepen en ongekende en bijzondere aspecten van het leven van de krekels en hun relaties met de mens te ontdekken.

de partituur in moderne notatie (met een pijl kan de partituur gevolgd worden terwijl men tegelijkertijd naar de muziek luistert),

Pendant le même temps, un écran mural lui fait découvrir la sculpture des Passions humaines au rythme de la musique. Les Passions humaines est un relief monumental sculpté par Josef Lambeaux (1852-1908) pour le petit temple édifié par Victor Horta (1861-1947) dans le Parc du Cinquantenaire à Bruxelles.

Pendant le même temps, un écran mural lui fait découvrir la Pietà de Rogier van der Weyden (1400-1464), aujourd’hui conservée à Bruxelles, aux Musées Royaux des Beaux-Arts de Belgique.

It becomes possible to explore the musical work Nymphes des bois, in an interactive way and become better informed on the life and work of the composer and to understand Rogier van der Weyden’s Pietà and learn about this mystical painter and portraitist of introspection from the first half of the 15^th century.

Entré dans la Chambre de musique, le visiteur écoute dans la pénombre le motet Musica, Dei donum, œuvre du compositeur montois Roland de Lassus (vers 1532-1594). Cette composition est un hommage à la musique et célèbre le pouvoir de cette dernière sur les hommes, les dieux, la nature. À l’intérieur du Cubiculum musicae, le poème est illustré par le magnifique tableau L ‘Ouïe, création des peintres belges Jan I^er Brueghel dit l’Ancien et Pierre Paul Rubens.

En sortant du Cubiculum, le visiteur peut prolonger l’expérience et l’approfondir au moyen d’une application web. Il est possible d’explorer de manière interactive la pièce musicale, la biographie du compositeur et le tableau de Brueghel et Rubens. L’application contient notamment :
